Certification and Licensure

Upon successful completion of the requirements for the M.S. degree, graduates complete a nine-month long mentored, paid employment period known as the Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship. Subsequent to the successful completion of this experience, an application can be made for national certification by the American Speech-Language, and Hearing Association www.asha.org. Speech-language pathologists are also licensed by State Boards of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology www.lbespa.org.
