ULM Department of Foreign Languages

Study Abroad Programs

Students in the Department have access to several study abroad programs. Through arrangements with other departments credit may also be obtained in other disciplines.

The Department participates in CODOFIL, which offers scholarships in the summer to study in France and Belgium, and the Micefa Program which sends students to study in Paris.  Beginning in the summer of 2008 the Department will offer a two week immersion program in Avignon, France.  Contact Dr. Chris Michaelides for more information.

Through participation in the Council on the Development of French in Louisiana (CODOFIL), students may take advantage of scholarships offered to study in the summer in France and Belgium.

Students in the Spanish program may study in Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain, or Peru in June. The program rotates among the four locations.  Students study in a formal setting in the mornings and may earn up to six (6) hours of credit in Spanish.  For more information contact Dr. Ruth E.  Smith.   rusmith@ulm.edu
