microarray process including all processes involved in
preparing a cDNA library, using our own printer for
printing DNA chips, hybridization using CY3 and CY5
labels, scanning of the printed chips using ScanArray
4.0, and analyzing the data using ImaGene 4.1
software; maintaining and genotyping transgenic mice
colonies using PCR, agarose gels and PAGE; culturing
and purifying DNA for sequencing; developing a
transgenic mouse that would be beneficial to our
current project; and organizing the cDNA libraries and
creating a database to easily retrieve clone location
information. Current project involves identifying
unique genes in tooth development, and determining the
function of the unique genes for the purpose of using
gene therapy to treat human tooth diseases. Certified
for laboratory safety and radiation safety techniques.
