Welcome from the College of Pharmacy
On behalf of the faculty, staff and students of the University of Louisiana at Monroe, College of Pharmacy, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our website. The ULM College of Pharmacy is the only state supported pharmacy program in Louisiana. We are very proud of the fact that we are the state of Louisiana's College of Pharmacy.
The College of Pharmacy offers three distinct programs of study. First and foremost is our professional doctoral program. Graduates of this program are awarded the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. Secondly, our College offers two graduate degrees: 1) the Masters of Science (M.S.) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, offered in eight different areas and 2) the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Pharmacy, offered in seven different major concentrations. Finally, our College offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Toxicology. Our undergraduate Toxicology program is one of only seven in the country. Please visit our website for additional information concerning each of these degree programs.
Our faculty is comprised of health care professionals, scientists and scholars dedicated to preparing our graduates to enter their respective professions with all of the latest skills and knowledge necessary to provide the best health care and scientific services possible for the citizens of the great state of Louisiana and beyond. Our faculty make valuable contributions to the world's scientific knowledge base via the College's extensive research programs. We take pride in our collaborative research programs with our research partners which include Louisiana Tech University and Louisiana State University.
Our College provides specialty services for the entire state of Louisiana. These services include the Louisiana Drug Information and Poison Control Center (handling over 85,000 calls per year), the Louisiana Institute of Toxicology, and the Drug Outcomes and Evaluation, Prior Authorization, and Disease Management programs for the Louisiana State Department of Health and Hospitals' Medicaid program.
We take pride in the tradition of excellence established by our faculty, students and graduates through performance on state and national licensure examinations, participation in local, state, regional and national professional organizations. We are especially proud of the quality of performance of our graduates as they go forth to provide vital health care service for their patients.
Please feel free to contact us. We will be happy to send you information concerning any of our programs.
Sincerely,
Dr. F. Lamar Pritchard
