College of Pharmacy Student Senate

  • Student governance organization consisting of representatives from each student organization and class.

College of Pharmacy Pharmacy Alumni Liaisons (COP PALS)

  • The COP PALS is comprised of 21 outstanding students. The PALS are a high-profile, high-energy, out-going group composed of the College of Pharmacy's finest students. The students serve as the official host for alumni-related activities while sponsoring events aimed at increasing student awareness of the College of Pharmacy and our Alumni Association.

Louisiana Student Pharmacists Alliance (LSPA)

  • Formed as a result of a merger between the University of Louisiana at Monroe Chapter of the American Pharmacists Association – Academy of Student Pharmacists, the student chapter of the Louisiana Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and the National Community Pharmacists Association.

American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP)

  • The mission of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists is to be the collective voice of student pharmacists, to provide opportunities for professional growth, and to envision and actively promote the future of pharmacy.

Louisiana Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (LSHP)

  • The ULM College of Pharmacy sponsors a student chapter of health-system pharmacists, which is a division of the Louisiana Society of Health-System Pharmacists (LSHP). By joining the student chapter, members are also added to the Northeast Louisiana Society of Health-System Pharmacists (NELSHP). The student ULM Chapter of LSHP conducts a clinical skills competition open to all enrolled professional pharmacy students wishing to compete. ULM LSHP sponsors a number of programs on residency application preparation, careers in pharmacy, emergency preparedness including volunteer training for such events or disasters.

Kappa Epsilon

  • A professional fraternity that unites women student in pharmacy and provides a common link among professionals in our career. KE stimulates in its members a desire for scholarship and fosters a professional consciousness, while providing a bond of everlasting loyalty, support and friendship to its members. KE participates in numerous activities within the community as well as social activities.

Phi Delta Chi (PDC)

  • A professional pharmacy fraternity. The fraternity strives to promote and advance the science of pharmacy while fostering a fraternal spirit among its brothers. ULM's Beta Beta Chapter was chartered in April 25, 1959. Phi Delta Chi has always taken pride in its contributions to the ULM student body and to the community of Monroe. Past service events include programs such as "AIDS: The State We Are In" and "Hepatitis B: Why Take The Risk?"

Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS)

  • National pharmacy leadership society that recognizes those persons who have contributed their time and effort to the advancement of pharmacy. The purpose of the society is to encourage, recognize and promote leadership in pharmacy. Members are invited to join the society based on GPA, leadership activities in other organizations and willingness to work for the benefit of their organization in the College of Pharmacy.

Rho Chi Society

  • The National Pharmacy Honor Society. The fundamental objective of this society is the stimulation and recognition of academic excellence. The society has always served as an instrument for the advancement of the profession of pharmacy. Wearers of the Rho Chi key comprise an intellectual force who seek to foster appreciation of the intellect in all its ramification outside as well as within pharmacy. The undergraduate who is elected to active membership is one who has displayed academic excellence, a capacity for achievement in the science and art of pharmacy and the allied sciences, and strength of character, personality and leadership.
